zero1cine — AI movie database
The future of filmmaking now has a place to live
Hello stranger! 👋 I’m thrilled to introduce the inaugural public beta of a project that has been my focus lately: zero1cine.com –This is the first-ever curated (and free) AI movie database. But let’s shift the conversation from the ‘who’, and ‘what,’ let’s talk about the ‘why’.
The future of filmmaking is already here, with AI taking center stage. The evolution of AI tools such as Midjourney (for images) and Runway / Pika (for videos) is progressing at a breakneck pace, significantly enhancing the quality of AI-generated content and outputs.
In an era where anyone can generate breathtaking cinematic visuals with a simple prompt, creativity and storytelling are more important than ever before! Tools like Runway have democratized film production, making it possible for anyone with a compelling narrative to create a short film. This is a game-changer, as the world of cinema and filmmaking has traditionally been accessible to only a select few. AI not only democratizes movie production but also drastically reduces production costs and time.
You may say: “Sorry but those AI videos nowadays are all bizarre, with weird forms and morphs, are you crazy?” Yes, I agree until a certain point, some are, but not all. We need to reflect that the AI we have today is “the worse AI we will ever have”
The surge in AI-produced movies is staggering, and this trend is set to skyrocket in the coming years. Now, individuals have the power to transform into full-fledged production studios. I’ve witnessed people who had abandoned their cinema careers reignite their passion and create stunning short films, thanks to these new AI tools. All these emerging AI movies necessitate an organized platform, hence the creation of zero1cine.com — It’s not about quantity, but quality. In a world inundated with content, curation is key to survival.
As an early adopter of these AI tools, I’ve created a music video for my band (The New Horizons — Earth), which was a finalist at the first Czech AI Film Festival in Prague, and featured in Forbes.
Today, I’m premiering my second AI film, “Santa’s Trip”, a 3-minute Pixar-style animation created using AI tools like Midjourney and Runway. We this work I tried to push the ruler a bit higher. The positive feedback from the community has been great. Even the CEO of Humane, creator of the AI Pin (which I joke on the animation) shared my work on X 😆.

Before AI, creating an animated movie similar to this would have taken years and a whole team of 2d artists, 3d artists, motion designers and more. Now, it’s a matter of just four weeks. AI is set to revolutionize the film industry. It’s not a fleeting trend; AI is here to stay.
I’ve spoken too much, now I hope you enjoy the curated selection of AI movies available at zero1cine.com. This is just the beginning; we aim to continually enhance the platform, add more movies, and organize contests, AI Film Festivals, and competitions.
